I think that was the one and only high point to the entirety of Absolute Filth. Nobody dressed as - seductively/trashy/insert relevant word here - as I thought they would (apart from the lovely FemSoc ladies), the music was terrible, and buying a drink was terrifying. Or just mix it all up?
I’d say go for 30s-40s, and then you can use inspiration from the 1880s and the 20s as that would have influenced the later decor.
